Göcek

The heart of the Blue Voyage: a quiet harbour of marinas on a gulf of pine-covered islands and coves, Lycian tombs in the cliffs, and the Turquoise Coast by gulet.

Hoş geldiniz

The heart of the Blue Voyage

Göcek is a small harbour town at the head of the Gulf of Fethiye on Türkiye’s south-west coast, and it is the heart of the Blue Voyage. Its gulf is scattered with the Twelve Islands, wooded and uninhabited, with coves where yachts tie up to the pines for the night.

The coast was ancient Lycia, and the Lycians carved their tombs into the cliffs at Fethiye; at Kaunos near Dalyan, a Carian city that adopted the Lycian style, temple-fronted tombs look down on the river. Along the coast to the east lie the white towns of Kalkan and Kaş.

Göcek has several marinas and stays quiet even in high summer, a place for those who arrive by sea. Dalaman airport is twenty minutes away, and from here a week by gulet or superyacht runs east along the Turquoise Coast.
