Monaco's palace hotel since 1864, with three MICHELIN Keys and a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating. It stands on the Place du Casino, which the circuit runs through, and its rooms look down on the track. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗

The Belle Époque palace at the tip of Cap Ferrat, with three MICHELIN Keys; a calmer base along the coast towards Nice, with villas in its grounds. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗

A yacht in Port Hercule

The circuit runs round Port Hercule, so a yacht in the harbour is the other classic way to see the race. The berths with a view of the track lie along the Quai des États-Unis and round the bend onto the Route de la Piscine; demand far exceeds supply, applications go to the port at least eight months ahead, and racing teams, drivers and sponsors have priority. Berths elsewhere in the harbour have no view of the track but are easier to secure. Superyachts cannot leave the port during race week, so a private charter there runs to at least five days. The port of Fontvieille, outside the circuit, and anchoring offshore are the alternatives.

Getting there

By private jet
Nice Côte d'Azur (NCE / LFMN), about 30 to 40 minutes by car in normal traffic.
By helicopter
The usual way in: Nice airport to the Monaco Heliport at Fontvieille takes about 7 minutes, operated by Monacair and booked through BLADE; Héli Air Monaco also flies private transfers.
By sea
Port Hercule, in the heart of the Principality and inside the circuit (see above).

  • Corinthia Grand Hotel Astoria BrusselsBrussels

Two MICHELIN Keys; this Belle Époque grand hotel reopened in December 2024 after a long restoration. Be prepared for the distance: no hotel at our standard is anywhere near the circuit, and from Brussels it is about an hour and a half by road, or roughly 35 to 40 minutes by helicopter. Visit website (opens the official site) ↗

Also at our standard

Getting there

By private jet
Liège Airport is generally the most practical for the circuit, at roughly 45 minutes by road. Maastricht Aachen also works well. Brussels has the most hotels and airline connections, but slots, noise limits and weekend night curfews apply there. Expect heavy traffic on the rural roads around the circuit on race weekend, and book a chauffeur rather than self-drive.
By helicopter
Francorchamps has a registered heliport by the circuit (ICAO EBFR, Route de l'Eau Rouge). Helicopter transfers from Liège or Brussels depend on permissions and weather, so arrange them early through a charter operator.
